Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU) Banking On 4G

In some latest developments Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU) deployed a 4G LTE network for Setar to make ultra-broadband mobile access available to the island of Aruba and co-announced with TDS Telecommunications Corp. that its Kindsight security technology powered TDS’ Hacker Alert service.

4G LTE Deployment

The deployment marks the launch of 4G services on the 33 km long Caribbean island of Aruba using 20 MHz of spectrum and 1800MHz frequency band. This deployment will enable one of the world’s fastest 4G LTE networks, delivering high speed, high quality experience for smart phones and tablets users as well for users of other such devices. The leading telecommunications service provider on the island, Setar has also installed small cells at strategic locations to enhance the indoor access to its 3G network. With this initiative, Setar will now be delivering world-class ultra-broadband mobile access to over 100,000 residents of Aruba as well as to the tourists, throughout the island and inside buildings.

Kindsight Security Technology

TDS Telecommunications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telephone & Data Systems, Inc.
