The California-based company will receive $270 million for the financing of a bioenergy project in Fulton, Mississippi. BlueFire Renewables is a development-stage company that develops and operates carbohydrate-based transportation fuel production facilities. The company has a market capitalization of under $14 million and over 181 million tradeable shares.
Ibio Inc(NYSEMKT:IBIO) is currently facing a class action lawsuit from the The Rosen Law Firm on behalf of iBio shareholders. The lawsuit, which is to recover damages under the federal securities laws, relates to the company’s false and misleading statements. iBio stated that its Launch platform patents and related proprietary technology would be licensed by ZMapp, a company that is currently making an Ebola drug. The company’s stock price fell once the truth was revealed.
Kinross Gold Corporation (USA)(NYSE:KGC) announced on Oct. 21st that it had entered into an agreement with Fortres Minerals Corp. to sell its interest in Aurelian Resources and the Fruta del Norte project for $240 million. The company will receive between $100 to $190 million cash as part of the day. Additionally, Kinross Gold announced on Oct. 9th that it had suspended its mill operations at the Round Mountain mine in Nye County, NV due to a fire breakout on Oct. 1st.
