International Business Machines Corp.(NYSE:IBM) is a New York-based information technology services company that provides IT infrastructure and business process services, consulting solutions, and middleware and operating systems software. The company recently announced that it would be partnership with SAP SE  to develop cloud computing for businesses. IBM will be providing its data centers so the German software company’s Hana Enterprise Cloud and platform can be sent to customers through the Internet.

In response to AT&T and Verizon’s offerings, Sprint Corporation(NYSE:S) recently announced that it would be matching its competitors “Double the Data” offering, a deal that is meant to capitalize on customers that may be re-upping their cell phone plan in response to the release of the iPhone 6. Depending on the specifics of the deal chosen, Sprint’s offering is between $50 to $150 less than AT&T’s shared data plan deals. Additionally, Sprint will be waiving a $15 access charge for unlimited talk and text through the end of the 2015 calendar year.

Corning Incorporated(NYSE:GLW) announced on Oct. 7th that it had received the BMW Supplier Innovation Award in the lightweight construction category for its Corning Gorilla Glass for Automotive product. The product works as an acoustic glass partition, shielding sound that is emanating from the rear engine of the BMW i8. The New York-cased company manufactures and sells specialty glasses and ceramic materials. The company currently has a bid price of $17.57 x 300 and an offer price of $18.32 x 100.
