Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) and Chrysler Group LLC yesterday co-announced that all Chrysler Fiat, Mopar, SRT, Ram, Dodge and Jeep customers will receive one year subscription of SiriusXM with every purchase of 2014 vehicle model equipped with Uconnect, a satellite radio equipped system. This one year subscription offers access to SiriusXM Internet Radio as well as every premium channel of SiriusXM’s satellite radio.

The premium programming line-up will provide Chrysler customers with access to the most complete package including NHL and NBA games, every NASCAR race and sports talks on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NFL games and sports talk on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Oprah Radio, live play by play of every regular season as well as post-season MLB game, SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio and more. In addition customers will get access to SiriusXM Internet Radio even outside of their vehicle, offering them complete entertainment at home, in the officer or at the go on Apple iOS and Android packed devices and other connected devices, alongside on the siriusxm.com.

Moreover Chrysler Group is also planning to increase the selection of vehicle offering in-vehicle access to expanded program line up of SiriusXM’s commercial-free music, entertainment, comedy, sports talk as well as the suite of Spanish language channels – SiriusXM Latino, all delivered via satellite.

The Executive Vice President of Sales and Automotive at Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Steve Cook said, “With SiriusXM’s expanded channel lineup available via satellite in more vehicles from Chrysler Group, even more drivers and passengers will get access for the first time ever to an even deeper variety of commercial-free music, with the ability to listen outside of the vehicle with access to SiriusXM Internet Radio.”

SiriusXM had around 25.6 million paid subscribers during the quarter ended September 30, 2013 suggesting 30.9% year over year growth in its subscriber base. Rival firm Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE:P), an Internet radio service provider, also reported 30% year over year growth in its active users at 71.2 million during the quarter ended July 31, 2013.
