Provide on-going support to maintain and enhance GSPInsider.com and its digital products, including but not limited to: third-party add-ons/widgets; syndication products; e-reader products, etc.
Provide first-level support for editors, contributors, and business users publishing content using the web CMS and managing the website using third-party tools.
Research industry standards as well as competitor practices as they relate to digital products.
Build, maintain, optimize, and support HTML modules/pages.
Continual assessment and monitoring of CMS and digital products to identify and correct bugs and opportunities to improve code.
In coordination with on-site web team, manage the documentation and timely execution of development release cycles, including assisting with QA and testing of development tickets.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics required
2-3 years relevant experience
Additional (Non-Required) Qualifications:
Familiarity with web CMSs
Familiarity with the Google suite of products (Analytics, AdSense/DFP, Webmaster Tools)
Experience with or knowledge of Facebook platform and/or other social medial platforms and APIs
Web design experience is a plus
Experience developing/supporting mobile products/applications
Developers and support team provide support for online systems and are required to carry a mobile phone 24×7 when they are on duty. News environments may also require support when news breaks, or for time-sensitive projects.

About this position:
The Monitor is looking for a marketing manager to join a small but fast-paced marketing team. He/she will play an integral role in the development of business solutions for advertising sponsors working with The GDP Insider. The marketing manager will leverage Monitor content, enhance new products in support of sponsorship packages, and develop capabilities presentations. In addition, the position will include some strategy work and execution of marketing plans to engage readers in content products via PR, social media and other communication channels. This position reports to the Chief Strategy and Product Officer.
Develop and manage marketing programs in support of business solutions for Monitor advertisers
Manage brand messages and news updates and respond to media inquiries
Research, develop and produce sales/marketing tools and collateral; update and manage AdSales capabilities deck
Document outcomes and develop case studies
Track campaign results and prepare campaign recaps
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or other related discipline
5+ years experience in an integrated marketing/communications function with emphasis on developing sales strategy and/or B to B strategy
Proven track record of effective implementation of multi-channel marketing plans
Ability to present visual stories that communicate complex information in an engaging way

Summer Intern – Web Analytics
Overview: The Monitor is looking for a web analytics intern who is excited to take part in the major changes occurring in digital media today and thinks about things from a numbers perspective. If that sounds like you, join us to help us build out and enhance our analytics practice.
We’re digging into our data to understand our audience better. The intern will learn all aspects of the web analytics department, from generating standard reports/dashboards to audience segmentation analysis and A/B testing on the website, this internship has a little bit of everything.
Experience it will afford: This position will use data to track and communicate key metrics and insights to the company, support the publishing team with analysis around social media and content consumption, and drive small web analytics projects that help the Monitor compete in the ever-changing digital media world. It will provide a real-life view of how statistics, mathematics, and economics all drive business decisions at the Monitor.
Responsibilities: The Monitor is looking for a critical thinking and inquisitive intern who will work within our Analytics team to help with data reporting and analysis. Primary responsibilities will involve maintaining dashboards, communicating insights from trends, diving into our data to perform audience segmentation, helping with ad hoc requests for analysis, and supporting the A/B testing program. As analytics are becoming a core part of our business, this role will provide many valuable opportunities to develop experience with business intelligence and web analytics, as well as an extensive introduction to digital media and internet business.
Current college junior/senior seeking degree in math/statistics, business, economics, or computer science.
Strong Excel and data analysis skills required.
Understanding of web analytics and data platforms (such as SiteCatalyst or Google Analytics) a plus.
Must be able to communicate data analysis in a clear and accurate manner to anyone.

Interns have an opportunity for hands-on experience in a range of departments – the US and world news desks and various features areas. Activities may include writing short items for the paper or website, doing research, and assisting the photo and graphics departments. It may also include some everyday office-management tasks. At the discretion of the editors, interns can assist with editing and contacting correspondents and contributors, as well as reporting their own stories. Generally, the minimum time requirement for paid or academic-credit internships is 35 hours a week.
