New York, NY – GDP INSIDER  –  10/09/2014.

This article discusses three application software companies: Compuware Corporation(NASDAQ:CPWR), Nuance Communications Inc.(NASDAQ:NUAN), and Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc(NASDAQ:MDRX)

Compuware Corporation(NASDAQ:CPWR) is a Michigan-based application software company that specializes in providing solutions and application practices to IT organizations around the world. The company is currently facing a class action lawsuit from shareholders who wish to challenge the company’s merger with Thoma Bravo, through which the company’s shareholders would receive $10.43 per share for their holdings. The company closed at a price of $10.62 on Oct. 8th, 2014, meaning Compuware shareholders would be receiving less money than the stock is worth on the market.

Nuance Communications Inc.(NASDAQ:NUAN), also an application software company based in Michigan, provides voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers. Recently, the company announced that it had lent its services to Domino’s, a famous pizza chain, for its ordering app. Nuance is providing a virtual voice ordering assistant for the application. A deal with a household name like Domino’s could work to boost the name recognition of this company with investors.

Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc(NASDAQ:MDRX) is an Illinois-based application software company that provides solutions and services to consumers and patients in the healthcare industry. On Oct. 6th, the company announced that it would be presenting its third quarter financial results after the markets close on Nov. 6th. The after-hours release, which will occur on a Thursday, may suggest that the company’s results are not as strong as Allscripts may have hoped. The company traded for a 52 week low yesterday.
