The day could have been much worse for the company as the stock traded for as little as $1.50 during the day, a new 52 week low for the Texas-based engineering and construction services provider. The company has been seeing its stock value decline recently, in line with the ongoing weakness in the price of oil and energy sector.
Willbros Group Inc has been underperforming for the last one year, with the stock down 76.21% compared to the S&P 500 which I sup 12.83% over the same period. The difference has narrowed since the beginning of the year, with the stock down 57.10% while the S&P 500 is up 1.97%. With RSI of 15.29 and consensus price target of $7.23 the stock has potential growth, but will largely be dependent on whether the prices go up again. Better to Sell than hold for now.

Vitesse Semiconductor (NASDAQ:VTSS) gained $1.45 to move to a new closing price of $5.34, following the announcement of its acquisition by Microsemi Corporation of for $389 million in cash. According to the agreement, the company’s shareholders will only receive $5.28 for each share of its common stock they own. Thanks to its 37.28% boost in value, the California-based high performance integrated circuits supplier also recorded a new one year high of $5.35. The company witnessed a high trading volume of 16.97 million yesterday, a figure which is 16.746 million greater than its 30-day average trading volume of 0.224 million. The $268.32 million market cap company is trading 33.48% above its 50 day moving average of $4.03 and 51.21% above its 200 day moving average of $3.54.
Vitesse Semiconductor has been doing well so far this year gaining 41.27% YTD and outperforming the S&P 500 index, which is only up 1.97% for the same period. With RSI now at 78.66 it is unclear how much the stock will climb at this time so at best a hold for now.
