Gannett Co., Inc (NYSE:GCI): Friday’s trading session saw Gannett Co., Inc (NYSE:GCI): shares gaining 3.98 %. The opening price of $21.14, moved on to touch an intraday high of $21.98 before sliding down to $21.06 per share. More than 3.77 million shares changed hands in the trading session on Friday. Gannett Co., Inc (NYSE:GCI) is quite a must-buy. This is due to the fact that in terms of industry/company performance and earnings strength, it is a top-rated stock. It also has a very positive and strong technical setup. Publishing stocks have not really been blazing trails since the middle of March. However, there seems to be a change of weather this last week.  GCI managed to climb over its 50-day moving average toward the end of the Friday trading session. Though there is undoubtedly some resistance overhead at $22, the company is definitely a quick-gain of +2.5% up to that particular price level.

If this publishing stock manages to forge ahead even further, the positive intermediate term-trend will climb higher as well. This could make it a very lucrative trade.

Qlik Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:QLIK): Friday’s trading session saw Qlik Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:QLIK) shares rising by 3.95 %. The opening price of $27.82, moved on to touch an intraday high of $29.96 before sliding down to $27.82 per share. More than 2.33 million shares changed hands in the trading session on Friday. This number was more than the average volume of 1.88 million which was calculated over a 30-day period.

Qlik Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:QLIK) has been moving forth at a clipping pace.  The company has created a niche for itself by delivering analytics and business intelligence anywhere and to anyone via mobile devices. It has had a very upbeat guidance and strong revenue gains. Qlik has reported a revenue increase of 22% and has projected another 20% rise in the quarter.

Qlik Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:QLIK) has been in diversification mode. It purchased NComVAAB, the Swedish company to upgrade its core product, QlikView, for an undisclosed amount. This product helps customers with data visualization. Though the company definitely has been showing a lot of promise lately, its volatility is not something that can be overlooked.
