General Wesley clark joins The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX)

The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX) has announced that they have appointed former NATO Supreme Allied Commander General Wesley Clark and former International Finance Corporation head Lars Thunell, as Fisterra’s Board of Director.  General Clark’s breadth of knowledge and experience will serve as an invaluable asset to Blackstone and Fisterra. General Clark and Lars Thunell will look after the firm’s private equity activities in the energy sector and will serve as the Senior Advisors to Blackstone.

General Wesley Clark has said that he is pleased to join the Fisterra’s Board and will look forward to overcome the challenges and will help in economical growth and sustainable development.

Lars Thunell has said that Fisterra has the right team and are capable to develop affordable, safe and reliable power projects which play a crucial role in strengthening economies and creating growth.

Blackstone is one of the world’s leading investment and advisory firms. It helps to create positive economic impact and long-term value for their investors. The company has an extra-ordinary class of working employee’s which helps the company grow and prosper. The company has announced to present its second quarter financial results on 17th July, 2013 after the market close.

Blackstone Group is focusing on its residential real estate market. Over the past years, Blackstone has spent billions of dollars in this segment, buying foreclosed homes and renting them out. This investment approach has made senses to the company, as rental rates have increased which helps the company generate strong cash flow from its portfolio of assets. Over time, the company is determined to sell many of these houses for a significant profit as this will help in assessing incentive allocations from investors in the funds that purchased the homes. Blackstone is in bearish zone, currently trading at $19.98 showing a decline of 2.49%.
