Another California-based semiconductor company, PMC-Sierra Inc(NASDAQ:PMCS), recently announced that it was the first to send out 16-port 12Gb/s SAS and 16-port 6GB/s SATA I/O controller solutions. These products will assist original equipment manufacturers and orginal design manufacturers with the development of cost-effective server hardware for hyperscale deployments. The company also recently presented at the Huawei Cloud Congress. PMC-Sierra, which has a market capitalization of $1.4 billion and 195.65 million tradeable shares, has closed within a range of $5.60 to $8.04 over the past 52 weeks.

Amkor Technology, Inc.(NASDAQ:AMKR) recently announced that it had received an excellent service provider award from SMIC for the third consecutive year in a row. The criteria behind the decision includes quality, on-time delivery, technical support, and customer service. The Arizona-based  company provides outsourced semiconductor packaging and test services. Amkor Technology’s current bid and offer prices suggest that the stock is highly liquid, with the figures coming in at $8.18 x 800 and $9.99 x 7,700, respectively.
