I AM Coming Says Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) To Emerging Markets

As developed markets see their sales shrink, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is now aiming to put more focus on the emerging markets such as China and India. India, once tagged as not an “important” market by Apple, has become a sudden interest for the Cupertino-based company.

In past few years, Apple has been increasing its footprint in these emerging nations with all sort of subsidies to woo the cost-conscious consumers of China and India.

Over the last two years, Apple’s sales in China have more than doubled despite the fact that the iPhones are not made available through the country’s largest telecom carrier China Mobile. However, the key strategy that’s working here is the handset subsidies, Apple are offering through two other major telecom operators.

In addition to this, the India story is also quite similar. The company has come up with so many options such as easy EMI among others that makes the over-expensive iPhones affordable for the consumers in India.

Seeing the sales going unbelievably up, Apple now cannot afford to miss out on the opportunity that India offers and thus, the company is eyeing on a bigger share of pie of one of the largest smartphone market in world.

Earlier Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) used to launch their new models nearly a year after their U.S. release, but now there is a different ballgame altogether. Within months, Apple is preparing to launch its latest models iPhone 5S/5C in India with a partnership with India’s third largest telecom operator Reliance Communications. There’s expected to be “noteworthy” development in the subsidy model this time.

A free upgrade for Mac users bring a number of enhancements, including a better battery life, the addition of iBooks apps and Maps among others, to the OS X operating system.
