Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is the world’s leading chip-maker manufacturing company. The company’s focus had been manufacturing chips for the Personal Computers with their leading technologies. Recently, in a recent interview with the Reuters, the CEO of the company Brian Krzanich has said that the company would be shifting its focus from Personal Computers.
Brian had admitted that the company would focus and put in their own efforts on smartphones, tablets and wearable electronic front, areas which are never been the company’s focus. In the CNET reports the company’s CEO Brian and the President Reene James had told that the company is possibly trying to diversify its products portfolio and are aggressively trying their hands in the mobile field and a desire for a larger foundry business.

Out of the rumors, Brian admitted that the company is also planning to shift its focus unto the television world but cautiously. He said that the company is a leading chipmaker and has excelled in the field, and breaking into the television world would be a stepping stone to success for the company. For the company’s new television project, Brian remarked that the company may develop a television streaming device but the technology used shall be the primary concern for its success. He has also informed the reporters that the company is actually working on a viable model to put its technologies work for the streaming device.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) has recently announced that the company with its new products lined up has the ability to recapture the market share. The company is expecting to launch their innovative products which have primarily focused on key technologies to meet the requirements of the rapidly growing data centers and cloud computing in the year 2014. The company has a portfolio of semiconductors which leads the company with its extraordinary digital experience across its wide range of computing devices. AMDS’s server computing product has focused on cloud computing and virtualization environment which will help the company to lead the industry.
