Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo is a controversial figure in the Spanish language radio space for different reasons. “Piolin por la Mañana”, his nationally-syndicated radio program was taken off air and he is also embroiled in a sexual harassment controversy with allegations thrown at him by previous Univision peers.
The Huffington Post had reported Sotelo appearance on People en Espanol. In the interview, he spoke in detail about the accusations and the adverse effects they have had on his family as well as his personal life. He said that he has never ill-treated any of his colleagues or harassed them and that if these were nothing more than jokes that had been misinterpreted, they had never come from him.
Sotelo will now launch an exclusive entertainment-channel on Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI). The show is slated to be on air next month. The center of operations for this new channel will be at a Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) Latino studio and Sotelo posted pictures of this studio on his Facebook page. He said that fans will be able to tune into his show from their cars, homes, computers, workplace, iPads and phones, 24/7.
In a different press release, Sotelo had said that he was honored that Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) believed in him. He said that his objective is to succeed and that he is happy that he will be able to move forth on that objective via the biggest radio platform. He is excited and knows that with Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) his voice and show will be heard in every nook and cranny of the country.
