J.C. Penney Company, Inc (NYSE:JCP): Wednesday’s trading session saw J.C. Penney Company, Inc (NYSE:JCP) shares dipped by 4.27%. The opening price of $18.60 was the intraday high, before sliding down to close at $17.86 per share. Around 10.86 million shares were traded in the session on Wednesday. This number was less than the average volume of 17.41 million which was calculated over a 30-day period.

J.C. Penney Company, Inc (NYSE:JCP) has been facing difficulty in its specific competitive environment and has been suffering from a depleting market share. The company has truly had a miserable stock performance. Its poor positioning in conjunction with a rapidly diminishing brand appeal have added fuel to the fire of incompetent management practices that have been ailing JCP for quite a while now.

All these factors have led to severe underperformance of the stock, over the last 5 years. Investors, who had purchased the stock 5 years ago, must have lost 52.28 percent of their investment by now. Its time JCP picked-up its act or its going to have more investors fleeing the sinking ship.

Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL): Wednesday’s trading session saw Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL) shares trading flat. The opening price of $13.35, moved on to touch an intraday high of $13.40 before sliding down to close at $13.34 per share. Around 9.86 million shares were traded in the session on Wednesday. This number was less than the average volume of 23.43 million which was calculated over a 30-day period

Dell has opened its Evergreen Innovation Center that is situated at its Austin campus. Dell’s new innovation-center is a building block on its already strong enterprise offerings. The new center is involved in the development of future hyper-scale data center solutions. This center will help Dell to improve its open, modular platforms even further.  The scale-out data center’s customers will be able to address their evolving business needs at a clipping pace. eBay Inc. has been working with Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL): in this project. It has been exploring technology development and next-generation engineering concepts to add to its data center efficiency. This will also help it precipitate advancements in the industry.
