Jaguar Mining Inc (NYSE:JAG): In Tuesday’s trading session, Jaguar Mining Inc (NYSE:JAG) jumped 5.36%. Its opening price of $0.38 rose to touch an intraday high of $0.41 which eventually headed down to currently trade at $0.401 per share. Over 0.158 million shares exchanged hands in the current trading session. This number stood below the average volume of 0.703 million that was measured over a 30-day period.

JAG is a gold mining company. It is involved in the production of gold and in acquiring, exploring, developing and operating gold and mineral properties located in Brazil. The company has three producing properties- Paciencia, Turmalina and Caete. These are located either in or adjacent to Brazil’s Iron Quadrangle region. This greenstone belt is situated to the east of Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais state.  Jaguar’s portfolio includes the Gurupi Project as well. This is in the Maranhao state. Its other project is the Pedra Branca Project which is in the state of Ceara. The latter is part of a joint-venture with Xstrata plc. (Xstrata) via its wholly owned subsidiaries, Mineracao Turmalina Ltda and Mineracao Serras do Oeste Ltda (MSOL).

Wave Systems Corp (NASDAQ:WAVX): In Tuesday’s trading session, Wave Systems Corp (NASDAQ:WAVX) jumped 2.69%. Its opening price of $0.38 rose to touch an intraday high of $0.41 which eventually headed down to currently trade at $0.401 per share. Over 0.228 million shares exchanged hands in the current trading session. This number stood below the average volume of 0.475 million that was measured over a 30-day period.

Wave Systems Corp (NASDAQ:WAVX) in involved in the development, production and marketing of products that are used for hardware-based digital security. These include security services and applications that complement the specifications set by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG). This is an industry-standards organization that comprises software vendors and computer and device manufacturers as well as other computing-products manufacturers. The specifications that have been developed by the TCG are specifically designed to address a variety of digital security issues. These include data security, identity protection, electronic transaction integrity, digital signatures, regulatory compliance, network security and platform trustworthiness. On 22 September 2011, Wave Systems Corp (NASDAQ:WAVX) closed its acquisition of Safend Ltd.
