Nike Inc(NYSE:NIKE) reported the company’s fiscal 2015 first quarter results on Sept. 25th. The figures include a 15 percent boost in revenue and a diluted earner per share figure of $1.09. Additionally, the company also signed recently Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant to a new shoe deal worth over $300 million. Durant, who is on track to become the greatest player in the NBA with LeBron James approaching the wrong side of 30, will be marketed heavily by Nike in its efforts to sell shoes for the upcoming middle school and high school basketball seasons.

Iconix Brand Group Inc(NASDAQ:ICON) is a New York-based brand management company that owns and licenses a variety of clothing and accessory lines, including  Material Girl, Umbro, Ecko Unlimited, Joe Boxer, Modern Amusement, and London Fog. On Sept. 19th, Brean Capital initiated coverage of the company, assign the stock a Hold rating. The company’s diverse range of products are sold in a variety of stores, including Kmart, Sears, and Macy’s.

Quiksilver, Inc.(NYSE:ZQK) currently has a bid price of $1.19 x 9,800 and an offer price of $1.70 x 4,000, figures which indicate that the company’s share value is far from stable. The California-based branded apparel company primarily sells products associated with outdoor activities. On Thursday, Quicksilver shareholder Ryan Drexler called for the Board of Directors to explore options for selling the company due to his perceived failure of the company’s business plan.
