J C Penney Company Inc(NYSE:JCP) lost fifty-four cents to fall to a closing price of $10.23, a 5.01% decrease in value from the previous closing price. Friday’s loss places the stock just $5.33 above the company’s 52 week low of $4.90. To contrast, J C Penney Company Inc(NYSE:JCP) is currently situated $3.33 below the company’s 52 week high of $13.56. The company’s trading volume reached a figure of 29.39 million on Friday, a figure which is 5.81 million higher than the company’s three month average.

Actavis plc(NYSE:ACT) gained $3.88 to move to a closing price of $245.50. The company, which currently has a market capitalization of $63.9 million and 264.26 million tradeable shares, reached a new 52 week high of $245.50 during Friday’s trading. On that day, Actavis plc(NYSE:ACT) announced that the company would be moving its headquarters to Ireland in an effort to reduce costs and increase revenue. The company had a trading volume of 3.68 million on Friday, a figure which is more than double that of its three month average of 1.78 million.

North American Palladium Ltd (USA)(NYSEMKT:PAL) suffered a 6.68% decrease in value Friday as the stock fell $0.014 to fall to a closing price of $0.196. The stock also traded for as little as $0.18 during the day, a new 52 week low for one of the two foremost palladium producers in the world. North American Palladium Ltd (USA)(NYSEMKT:PAL) had a trading volume of 5.83 million on Friday, a figure which is 3.62 million higher than the company’s three month average of 2.21 million.
