New York, NY – GDP INSIDER  –  02/19/2015.

This article discusses three companies: MedAssets, Inc.(NASDAQ:MDAS), GoPro Inc(NASDAQ:GPRO) and BreitBurn Energy Partners L.P.(NASDAQ:BBEP)

MedAssets, Inc.(NASDAQ:MDAS) shares were down almost 10% yesterday after management issued weaker than expected guidance for 2015 in its fourth quarter earnings call.  The issue for MedAssets is lower-margin services accounting for a greater portion of sales in 2015. Margin compression in its primary business is concerning, but its forward P/E after analysts’ revisions should be around 14.3x.  In addition, revenues are expected to still grow at MedAssets, Inc by 5% – 7% year-over-year.  The selloff may be overdone, and this could have created a buying opportunity for investors with a longer time horizon.

GoPro Inc(NASDAQ:GPRO) shares fell significantly yesterday by 11.21% due to a temporary shift in the supply, demand balance in the shares.  The post-IPO lockup period expired which could put more shares on the market from inside holders.  This followed a day where the shares were up 12%.  Importantly, there was no change in the growth outlook for GoPro Inc or any other fundamental.  The shares are down to $45.21, over a 50% from their peak in October 2014. The company makes portable cameras for action sports and is penetrating other end markets.

BreitBurn Energy Partners L.P.(NASDAQ:BBEP) shares are up over 60% over the last month and investors need to understand if it can continue its run. The increase in oil prices over recent weeks has driven much of the increase.  Positive EPS and revenue growth both exceeding analyst expectations have also contributed.  The stock broke through its simple moving average of $7.20, which is a positive sign.  In addition, the RSI and MFI are 53 and 63.8, respectively. Both of these indicate that the bullish move could continue, and the technical are not indicating a near-term reversal.
