Hartford, CT 05/28/2013 (GDPInsider) – In Friday’s trading session, Rockwell Medical Inc (NASDAQ:RMTI) dipped by 4.55%. Its opening price of $3.87 rose to touch an intraday high of $3.95 which eventually headed down to close at $3.77 per share. More than 0.771 million shares exchanged hands in the last trading session. This number stood above the average volume of 0.665 million that was measured over a 30-day period.

The company was previously known as Rockwell Medical Technologies, Inc. It manufactures hemodialysis concentrate-solutions and dialysis-kits. Rockwell Medical Inc (NASDAQ:RMTI) is involved in selling, distributing and delivering these as well as  other ancillary hemodialysis products. These are largely sold to hemodialysis providers in the U.S. Internationally, the products are sold in Latin America, Asia and Europe. Hemodialysis duplicates the functioning of the kidney in patients who have failing kidneys. This is also known as End Stage Renal Disease. It is an advanced-stage of chronic kidney disease and is characterized by the irreversible kidney-function loss.

In Friday’s trading session, Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) dipped by 4.52%. Its opening price of $1.80 rose to touch an intraday high of $1.85 which eventually headed down to close at $1.65 per share. More than 0.601 million shares exchanged hands in the last trading session. This number stood below the average volume of 1.38 million that was measured over a 30-day period.

GNK transports coal, grain, steel products, iron ore and other drybulk cargoes across world-wide shipping routes via the ownership and operation of numerous dry-bulk carrier vessels. As of 31 December 2012, the company’s fleet consisted of 53 dry-bulk carriers. These included eight panamax, nine capesize, six handymax, 13 handysize and 17 supramax  drybulk carriers. These had an aggregate carrying-capacity of around 3,810,000 dead-weight tons. In the same period, the average age of Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) fleet was around 7.8 years.
