Kinross Gold Corporation (USA)(NYSE:KGC) traded for as little as $2.66 yesterday, a new 52 week low for the company. On Oct. 21st, the company announced that it would be selling its interest in the Fruta del Norte Project and Aurelian Resources to Fortress Minerals Corp. for $240 million in cash and equity. The Ontario-based company is engaged in mining and processing gold and silver ores in Canada, the United States, Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, Ghana, Mauritania, and Russia.

Oi SA (ADR)(NYSE:OIBR) is a Brazil-based diversified communication services company that provides integrated telecommunication services to residential customers, companies, and government agencies in its home country. However, while the company was previously a powerhouse in the industry, it will not be an active participant in the upcoming 4G upgrade. Oi SA has a market capitalization of over $3.6 billion and 5.65 billion tradeable shares. The stock has traded within a range of $0.40 to $1.97 over the past 52 weeks.
