Alpha Natural Resources, Inc.(NYSE:ANR) hit a new 52-week low of $1.05 as the stock fell 4.42% to close the day at a new closing price of $1.08. The $0.05 loss per share moved the stock 2.86% above its 52-week low of $1.05 and 83.49% below its 52-week high of $6.54. The $252.72 million market cap company traded within a range of $1.05 to $1.15 during intraday trading. In a research note on December 20, analysts at Morgan Stanley downgraded their rating on the stock from equal weight to underweight. Alpha Natural Resources, Inc has a beta of 2.42, meaning it is 142% more volatile than the market. The stock, however, gained 4.63% to move the price at $1.08.

Saba Software, Inc.(OTCMKTS:SABA) surged a whopping 22.22% as it gained $1.50 to close the day at a closing price of $8.25 during yesterday’s trading. The $245.73 million market cap company had a trading volume of 497,087, which is greater than its 30-day average trading volume of 329,283, and 29.79 million shares outstanding. Saba Software, Inc has traded within a range of $6.51 to $14.50 over the past 52 weeks. It has a beta of 0.89, meaning it is 11% less volatile than the market, and an earnings per share (ttm) of $-0.53.
