Spreadtrum Communications, Inc (NASDAQ:SPRD): Thursday’s trading session saw Spreadtrum Communications, Inc (NASDAQ:SPRD) rising 0.21% and closed at $18.72. It opened at a price of $18.38 which touched an intraday high of $19.00, before moving down to close at $18.02 per share. SPRD is a fabless semi-conductor company. It is engaged in the designing, development and commercialization of mobile chipset platforms that are used in feature phones, smartphones and other consumer electronics products. These support numerous wireless communications standards which include GSM, GPRS, time division synchronous code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA), high speed packet access + (HSPA+), enhanced data rates for global evolution (EDGE), wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) and long term evolution (LTE). In addition to these, it has a variety of multimedia capabilities.

Zagg Inc (NASDAQ:ZAGG): Thursday’s trading session saw Zagg Inc (NASDAQ:ZAGG) down by 1.75% and closed at $5.04. It opened at a price of $5.14 which touched an intraday high of $5.24, before moving down to close at $4.96 per share. In the previous day’s trading session, around 1.29 million shares were traded. This number was more than the average volume of 1.12 million that was measured over a 30-day period.

ZAGG is a prominent mobile device accessories company. It has a brand portfolio including iFrogz and ZAGG. It has introduced 2 new keyboard accessories that will be used in the Apple iPad, mini. The ZAGGkeys Folio and ZAGGkeys Cover are super-thin Bluetooth keyboard accessories. These have been constructed with a patent-pending, unique hinge system. This system enhances the user-experience and provides a full-range of viewing angles right upto 135 degrees. These new designs were unveiled at CTIA 2013, at ZAGG’s booth.

ZAGG’s executive vice-president of marketing Kent Wuthrich said that the company is excited about the new ZAGGkeys Folio and ZAGGkeys Cover. Both are more convenient, lighter and more user-friendly than any tablet keyboard accessory that exists in the market.
