Staples Inc (NASDAQ:SPLS) Featured On Global 100 Sustainability Index

Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLS) has been featured on the Global 100 Sustainability Index. This is among the most well known measures in corporate sustainability analysis. With this, Staples becomes the only North American retailer that has been featured on this list.

The list is published by Corporate Knights, which is a well known media research and investment advisory committee. Strangely enough Staples Inc is one among two global retailers to have been featured on the list.

Speaking on the occasion Mark Buckley, VP of Environmental Affairs at Staples, said, “As a company, we’re committed to making more sustainable choices internally and to offering our customers environmentally and socially responsible products and services, both in-store or online. We’re honored to be named to the Global 100 Sustainability Index, recognizing us as one of the most sustainable corporations in the world.”

Staples Inc has been involved in making sustainable business practices often by offering up eco-friendly products. It also provides a wide range of recyclable materials and green services. There is also a conscious effort on their part to reduce waste and to increase energy efficiency. It has launched a free in-store recycling program through which it offers to recycle e-waste for free. Since its inception in 2007, it has been functioning well exceeding expectations.

Staples Inc. is a renowned retailer that makes it easy for customers to find exciting ways to shop. It also offers online shopping options and a delivery service that is more than capable. Besides that Staples customers can shop anytime through the store, web-store and even on a mobile platform. The range of products offered at Staples is very wide ranging from technology, break-room supplies, furniture, safety and medical supplies and Copy and Print services. The headquarters for the company is in Boston and it operates across the Americas, Asia, Europe as well as down under.
