Miami, FL 05/17/2013 (GDPInsider) NewLead Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:NEWL) on Thursday traded up by 13.42% to $0.303, with total traded volumes of 5.72 million in comparison to its average volume of 0.517 million shares. The market capitalization of the company is $5.98 billion at the current price levels. The stock traded below its 52-week high of $2.73 and is above its 52-week low of $0.24. NewLead Holdings is a shipping company engaged in the transportation of gasoline and jet fuel, and dry bulk goods. The company has recently entered into a five-year time charter agreement with a 60% profit sharing setup for Newlead Victoria, which is the company’s panamax vessel built in 2002. The charter will commence in June 2013. In February, NewLead received a contract to supply and deliver 1.48 million metric tons of steam coal to an unnamed buyer. The deal is expected to bring approximately $148.0 million in sales to the company.

National Bank of Greece (ADR) (NYSE:NBG) on Thursday traded up by 18.34% to $2.00, with total traded volumes of 24.92 million in comparison to its average volume of 7.09 million shares. The market capitalization of the company is $1.91 billion at the current price levels. The stock traded below its 52-week high of $3.25 and is above its 52-week low of $0.61. National Bank of Greece is a Greece-based financial institution. NBG Group losses for full fiscal year 2012 amounted to €2,139.5million. For the fourth quarter 2012, the Group’s profit totaled €314.8 million. The company said its operating income was badly affected after there was a increase in provisions and decline in net income, due to high cost of funding and fall in market interest rates. The bank also announced that it successfully completed the tender offer by accepting of shares corresponding to 84.4% of Eurobank’s share capital. On February 20, 2013, it acquired a 84.4% stake in Eurobank Ergasias SA.
