AK Steel Holding Corporation (NYSE:AKS) fell back slightly yesterday to close down 7.28% or $0.41 at $5.22 on heavy trading of 12.50 million shares, compared to its 30 day average trading volume of 9.84 million. The US-based producer of flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steels has been steadily declining for the last 52 weeks, losing over 21% and so far this year, it has already lost 12.12% compared to the S&P 500 which is up 3.35% since the beginning of the year. Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY) continued to climb yesterday with the stock climbing 2.02% or $0.27 to close the day at $13.66 with more than 11.175 million shares changing hands, compared with its three month average trading volume of 8.08 million. The company has been bouncing between $12.26 and $16.13 for the last three months but has been steadily climbing overall for the last 52 weeks with the stock up over 45%. Cypress Semiconductor Corporation is enjoying strong quarterly revenue growth of 22.80% year on year, a one year target estimate of $16.35 and a bullish MACD divergence looking likely there is still plenty of upside potential in the stock making it a good hold and potential medium to long term buy.
