New York, NY – GDP INSIDER  –  10/09/2014.

This article discusses three bank holding companies that will be releasing their third quarter financial results in the near future: Hudson City Bancorp, Inc.(NASDAQ:HCBK), Investor’s Bancorp, Inc.(NASDAQ:ISBC), and People’s United Financial, Inc.(NASDAQ:PBCT)

Hudson City Bancorp, Inc.(NASDAQ:HCBK) announced on Oct. 7th that it would be releasing its third quarter operating results on Oct. 22nd, 2014. One might expect for the company’s results report to be strong given the fact that it recently sold $112.1 million residential mortgage loans back to the financial institutions that originally sold the loans. All of the loans were nonperforming as of June 30th, 2014. The company noted that it expects a decrease in the company’s allowance for loan losses as a result of the deal.

Investors Bancorp, Inc.(NASDAQ:ISBC) announced on Oct. 2nd that it will also be releasing its third quarter financial results. However, unlike Hudson City Bancorp, Investors Bancorp will be sending its financial results out to the public after the markets close on Oct. 30th, 2014. Additionally, the company also traded for as little as $9.96 during yesterday’s trading, a new 52 week low. These factors could suggest that the company will be releasing negative financial results. However, Investors may simply be trying to send out its results in a timely, convenient manner.

People’s United Financial, Inc.(NASDAQ:PBCT) has also scheduled a release date for its financial report, setting a date of Oct. 16th, 2014 at 4PM Eastern Time. This means that the company is releasing its financial figures just a short while after the end of the quarter itself and well before both Hudson City Bancorp and Investor’s Bancorp. The relatively-quiet company, whose only major announcement was the appointment of William Cruger to the Board of Directors, is currently just $1.38 below its 52 week high.
