Harmony Gold Mining Co. (ADR)(NYSE:HMY) enjoyed a two cent gain during yesterday’s trading, a 0.66% increase in value that moved the stock to a closing price of $3.07. The stock, which traded within a range of $2.96 to $3.09 during the day, remains just $0.72 above its 52 week low of $2.35. The South Africa-based gold exploration and processing company has had an average trading volume of 1,950,480 over the past three months.

Rubicon Minerals Corp. (USA)(NYSEMKT:RBY) saw its value increase by 4.23% during yesterday’s trading, gaining six cents to close at $1.48. The Vancouver-based mineral exploration company has traded within a range of $0.65 to $1.90 over the past 52 weeks. Yesterday, Rubicon Minerals had a lower trading volume than it has averaged over the past three months with figures of 727,354 and 820,423, respectively. The stock’s value has also steadily increased over the past three months, moving from a closing price value of $0.91 on May 28th to a high of $1.67 on June 21st.

Molycorp Inc(NYSE:MCP) once again saw its value decrease during yesterday’s trading as the stock lost $0.13 to close at $2.02. The stock has steadily declined over the the past three months, falling from a closing price high of $4.56 on May 6th to a low of $1.87 on July 18th. The Colorado-based rare earths and rare metals producers currently had a trading volume of 5,370,793, a figure that is over 700,000 below its three month average trading volume of 6,096,770.
