Ron Belmarch, the Product Director of Yahoo’s Mobile Fantasy sports wrote in a blog post that users are able to sign-up and draft a team of their own. This will allow them to win any game from the location they are in. This app also has notifications that will help in keeping fans updated about their favorite teams.
Draft Day importance
Yahoo said that it realizes that Draft Day holds a lot of significance for all fantasy football players. The updates app also has mock-drafting capabilities that will help users prepare for the actual game. This feature is not restricted to football. It will be available for basketball, baseball and hockey as well.
As far as time is concerned, that will be handled by “managers”. The competition will be handled by them and they can get any player they like from any device that they have. The Mobile drafting function allows them to pick players, set the queue and check results. They are also able to chat with various other managers, execute a trade and strategize.
The opportune moment
This is the first Yahoo mobile apps post the Loki Studios and Bignoggins Production acquisitions. Players will be able to see these integrations when they access the new Fantasy Sports app. Bignoggins’s Draft Monster and Fantasy Monster apps have been incorporated into the Fantasy Sports app while Loki’s location-based mobile-gaming offering is what attracted Yahoo to it.
In 2011, the Federal government had shut-down all illegal poker website. This was how fantasy sports emerged as an ideal alternative for instant-gratification for numerous online bettors. Looks like Yahoo has a winner on its hands
